Head of Sales
The Head of Sales is responsible for the implementation of all global sales related activities of the resort in accordance with the Director of Sales and Marketing and Data Analytics. This position will oversee all global representatives and compile monthly reports regarding sales and marketing intelligence together with the global team for all markets. The Head of Sales shall be passionate to tell Fregate Island’s story to ensure the clientele matches the Island and report to the Director of Sales and Marketing.
PRE-REQUISITES / QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position of a competitor set property globally.
- Job will be full time and based in Switzerland, canton of Zug.
- German native/fluent speaker, fluent English speaker with at least one additional Seychelles relevant language such as French, Russian or Arabic.
- Proven track record of negotiating contracts and exposure as well as closing sales.
- Identify with the Fregate Island project and enthusiastic about the nature element of the Island.
- Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems.
- Systematic and proven approach to maximizing sales team performance.
- Ability to coach and mentor direct reports and on-property sales colleagues.
- Ability to analyze, interpret and understand financial data as it relates to sales performance.
- Strong networking skills and existing trade relationships in the Luxury Travel segment.
- Strong network in Asia and GCC countries would be beneficial.
- Be available for travelling extensively throughout the year.
- Great cross-functional working skills with the ability to think on your feet with analytical thinking.

- Excellent communication and listening skills – friendly, humble, creative, charmingly persuasive and confident as well as being culturally aware and sensitive to your surroundings.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
- Represent Fregate Island on major fairs, roadshows and sales calls.
- Establish new markets for Fregate Island whilst at the same time keeping strong relationships with the past and current contacts, Business to Business (B2B) and Business to consumer (B2C).
- Plan and execute FAM Trips together with the on-site Sales Manager.
- Be able to generate bookings and upsell to the clients.
- Stay within budget.
- Increase direct bookings, reduce commission payments (shift DMC business to Travel Agent business, etc.).
- Support the Island as and when needed.
- Gather competitive intelligence and share with the Board Members and commercial team.
- Support the DOSM in establishing the yearly strategy and budget.
- We are a small team and also work on weekends here and there. We expect everyone to happily step in and help other team members, we do not work in silos.

OTHER:
To report to work on time according to the schedule given and on an as needed basis.
Performs additional duties assigned by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
Maintains polite and professional relations with all hosts in the resort and all involved stakeholders.
Abides by all regulations laid down by the resort, written or verbal.
