Strategy execution & Category Management

• Execute and drive the footwear strategy through seasonal business plans under the direction of the Head of Equipment & Footwear
• Lead the footwear product management function and oversee European development activities
• Ensure the category development delivers an assortment aligned with business needs and consumer segmentation
• Manage the product lifecycle and plan new developments, considering available resources and long-term brand strategy
• Own product-level gross margin targets and ensure alignment with overall category financial goals
• Preparation of business plans for CAPEX investments

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Lead and mentor the footwear team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring succession planning is in place
• Coordinate team workflows and development processes, representing the footwear function internally and externally
• Work cross-functionally with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure successful market execution of product propositions
• Support Sales and Marketing departments at key meetings and events

Design & Development Oversight

• Manage the operational collaboration with external design and development partner OWN
• Brief internal and external design and development teams with a strong focus on consumer needs
• Coordinate design and development processes to meet timelines, financial targets, and quality standard
• Ensure timely delivery of all critical path stages across the development cycle

Innovation & Market Intelligence

• Conduct market and competitive analyses, as well as sales, revenue, and margin evaluations
• Gather and integrate consumer and customer feedback into product development
• Screen for technological innovations, new production methods, and materials
• Lead research initiatives and monitor partnerships with innovation partners (e.g., universities)
• Continues improvement of patent management process and overseeing patent applications

Operational & Vendor Management

• Support the sourcing department in vendor allocation and price negotiations
• Ensure alignment of development activities with budgetary and operational constraints

Play to your strengths

• Solid academic background in Business Administration and Engineering
• Advanced degree in Business Administration or Marketing (University or University of Applied Sciences)
• Proven track record in leading teams and fostering high-performance environments
• Extensive experience in project and product management, from concept to execution
• Strong presentation and communication skills, both internally and externally
• Deep passion for outdoor sports and active engagement with the outdoor lifestyle
• Well-versed in the international sports and outdoor market, with a global perspective
• Skilled in navigating international business environments and cross-cultural collaboration
